I understand the tool, and how base miles and class of service bonus are awarded. This is why I posted the breakdown that shows the base miles as well. Seems someone has updated the tool since I posted, as the tool was reporting the DEL-YYZ segment as 10845 yesterday with a J class ticket, and now correctly showing 10833.
There is no single "correct" distance for any airport pair, as there are multiple ways of calculating it. The accuracy of the calculator is dependent on the data we have to work with. For anyone who finds the calculator useful, I strongly encourage them to share data points on new distances after flying them.
