On a side note - I saw the Chinese Embassy in Oslo was reducing the visa fee table through December 31st 2024. Visas are now 150 NOK less from what I can see down from 600 NOK (56 USD) to 450 NOK (42 USD).
However I have not obtained a Chinese visa since they introduced the visa service center nonsense here in Oslo so I do not know how much it is on top of that. Last time was in 2018 and the embassy still dealt with that matter directly. I believe the visa center came in 2019 or something.
