Last week at PDX, the CBP guy yelled at me to take my glasses off as soon as I got to the line, and wouldn't listen to me that I couldn't see without them. I then stood near the machine, failing repeatedly, and he yelled at me. The whole thing is really stressful after getting off a long international flight, and I can't help but feel like it's a giant ADA violation. I'd love to be able to keep my glasses on to go through the process.
Next time you are at a kiosk with CBP officer, ask if they can take a photo of you and add it to their database, so they have one of you with glasses.
