I had heard about Winning Time when it first came out a few years ago, but never got around to watching it until I was on the plane yesterday.

As someone who's not a huge basketball guy but knows a few things about it, it's a shame just how much dramatization there is in the series - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said "They are caricatures, not characters" - but it's entertaining TV nonetheless.
