There hasn't been a lot of emphasis in previous comments on the ability to pick up 4,000 EQM for each $10,000 of spend, but to me that is significant. I believe it's a smart move by Alaska to encourage more spend on their profitable card business rather than on competing high end travel cards. It may not sway those who are true road warriors racking up miles on a number of airlines, but to those of us doing a majority of flying on Alaska it gives us more incentive to make sure at least $50,000 of our spend goes to our Alaska cards.
