One of the FA's - the purser coming back from LHR - has been an employee for 30 years (ex US Airways via acquisition) and he was actually the best of all we encountered in either direction between the connecting flights and the long hauls.
It sounds like I just got lucky and hit the FA jackpot.
I actually had the same FA on three flights last year BOS-LAX, also ex-US who had been with the airline (well, various airlines that became US and then AA) for around 30 years... and she was one of the best FAs I've encountered on AA in years. What really made me smile was she insisted on wearing her US apron on all three flights.
