The PY seat slide forward function does not look to be very comfortable. The front edge of the seat cushion comes very close to the seat back in front. And why would you want to raise the leg rest that high? I am not sure it would be comfortable to fold the legs to fit the space.
I guess it is more of a Japanese/Asian thing where we like to lounge with full legs on the sofa/seat sometimes while watching TV or reading a book but then I only do this when at home. Although I have seen some passengers sit like this in my previous flights, so this could be the reasoning behind why they have this implemented no? Haha
