After reading the last 50 posts, I just finished chatting with Amex. 40k for $4,000 spend in the next 3 months for my American Express Platinum (Personal). This is my 3rd Annual Fee (hit yesterday) and my first retention offer. Of course I was planning on keeping it. I think I visited the Centurion Lounge at least 25 times this year. To date, haven't made a line on any Lounge. But being DFW a very frequented airport for me, last two times have been on the Capital One Lounge instead of the Centurion. Still, my supplementary cards were all billed in September for 1 x $175 fee (3 x Cards). Also, my home Centurion Lounge is LAX.
