Also always try and reach out when I book and a day in advance for a free upgrade and also call the day of arrival for free upgrade before I get there. Free upgrades used to be easy to come by unless they were full but since covid has been very sparse.By the way, in the US, they're free rewards night points are basically 50% until February 4. A 20,000 point night is currently available for $10,000 and also similar scale for nicer rooms.
