With reference to a recent discussion - a link I will now try to find - this just means that it will now always simply be simply cheaper to cancel, and book again, when you habitually buy Light tickets. (Though, of course, I would recommend not buying Light tickets speculatively; it's just that a Light ticket, although non-refundable, can yield a surprisingly large refund if you cancel - and now that Light tickets issued from yesterday onwards can't be changed, your only option if you can't take the flight as booked is to request a cancellation and a corresponding refund of taxes).

Non-refundable KLM tickets (even "non-refundable" tickets can yield quite a refund; particularly if you've bought the very cheapest Light ticket early enough, the bulk of the price paid will be taxes and refundable)
That’s an interesting point indeed, will consider it. I will also stop buying Standard fares (I was only booking that for the change flexibility) and switch to Light. Flex is simply too expensive (for already very expensive flights at AFKL) and not worth it, with a little discipline you stick to the booked flights and that’s it. And when really necessary, you refund the taxes and book a new ticket. 🤷♂️
