That is a different situation than above entrance policy discussions (specifically for domestic flights).
Was *G shown on your boarding pass?
For international flights, every *A lounge should be accessible, including the United Club. However, UC is NOT accessible for UA's own Gold and above (other than GS) on domestic itinerary purely on status.
