Out of curiosity, since this is a Sky Team / Star Alliance trip, what should one consider in terms of protection in the case of a misconnect in BKK either way?

I always prefer intra alliance booking for that reason, so how many orders of magnitude increase is the risk of a "cumbersome" solution should IRROPs occur between KQ & TG?
