Not sure - if you do it once, probably nothing. Then again, AA sold you a ticket from Egypt to Malaysia on QR. Not sure what happens if you just drop off mid route in a different country altogether.

If you're going to BKK, just fly to PEN and catch a flight from there. HKT-BKK is only 20 mins shorter than PEN-BKK.
