Consequences of skipping a sector on an award flight
Hoping to get some advice/insight. Wife and I have an award flight booked on QR flying from CAI-DOH-HKT-PEN, not really the award segment I wanted (BKK was our preference), but it brought us close enough. The HKT-PEN is actually the same metal from DOH, and for whatever reason AA could not book the award to HKT. What happens if we just departed in HKT? I realize that we will be breaking the carriage conditions. but don't know what the consequences will be. Hopefully someone else has done something similar :-)
