As to unions, again, depends which union. If it were a union representing AC workers you might have a point. But it's not.
The union should not be disclosing information confidential to the hotel, for starters.
I work with a number of hotel crew contracts, and they all indicate that where the crew is staying cannot be disclosed.
If a passenger on a flight has a few bevvies, decides they fancy a crew member, and then can easily find out where they are likely to be staying in the destination with a quick google search - that's bad news.
