Because that’s what competent management would do vs management focused on short term metrics. Make sure the details line up with the larger strategy.
Also competent management would not publicly claim their company is the best in the world when it’s clearly not even close, that was almost as dumb as Parker’s claim that AA will never lose money. Ironically both are graduates of the Baldanza Aviation Management School of Ridicule The Customer.
