I am not really convinced that this scheme is materially better than any other. And of course it violates the promises made to elites and credit card holders.
I'm not convinced this is better either but I am intrigued with the idea.
The biggest problem I see is that rollaboards themselves aren't really the problem. The biggest cause of slow boarding is inexperienced travelers, and I tend to think there are more inexperienced travelers in the group of non-rollaboard travelers. I would imagine you don't want to have the slowest boarders board first to accomplish the goal of quick boarding. (With things like wheelchairs being the exception)
