I would agree... I have never actually seen anyone use the inflight telephones and I am thankful for it. I remember wasting a lot of money calling from an airplane once years ago when it still seemed a novelty. The conversation went something like this... "I'M ON A PLANE... YES, A PLANE... NO, THE METAL TUBE WITH WINGS THAT FLIES... WHERE AM I? SOMEWHERE OVER THE ATLANTIC... YES, IN THE AIR... NO, NOT A CELLPHONE, SATELLITE PHONE... NO, THE PLANE WILL NOT CRASH... WHY AM I FLYING? TO GO HOME..." etc. etc. Passengers next to me must have thought me incredibly riddiculous and annoying.
