Does "refundable Main cabin" offer any benefits beyond the obvious?
Long story short. Delta upgrades are few and far between, but new travel policy at work allows us to book "refundable" main cabin versus the usual regular fares. Still cannot book Comfort or premium cabins no matter the flight length.
As I start booking work travel in Q1 2024 Delta offers many flights for "refundable main cabin" fares usually for about $100 more each way. Does booking this fare provide any benefits beyond the obvious? i.e. Will I have a higher priority on the First or D1 upgrade list with a refundable main cabin ticket?
Note I will be earned Platinum in 2024 and also 1MM. No Reserve card.
