MANY cutbacks, effective 12/9. The transcon main cabin service goes to a hot sandwich basket instead of a full tray. Same as the ones that we used to serve on the SEA-LAX flights. No more cookies and chips up and down the west coast. There will be warm scones in the mornings and warm, fresh baked cookies on departures between 7pm and 830pm. In between will be beverage service with beverage snacks like peanuts and pretzels. First Class will get an appetizer plate (cheese & crackers, etc.) on the bay area flights. I think the sandwich and salad stays in F/C on the LAX area/PHX/TUS/SAN/DEN flights. I don't know what LAS gets - I imagine they might just get the appetizer plate. So, that may be why you see the change in meal codes, or lack of a meal code. Hope that helps.
