good luck. Had a similar circumstance back in 2017 and tried to get a refund with no luck. Eventually gave up after over one hundred HUCA and e-mail attempts; they continued to cite that due to death being within 24 hours of departure, they wouldn’t offer any exceptions. It was a very compassionless experience with all agents sticking to the rulebook offering zero refunds within 24 hours. Hopefully you’ll have much better luck being outside of that window.
