Yes, definitely and thoroughly missed by me. It has without doubt been a highlight of my most memorable flights and it’s always a shame not to be able to do it on the 787. I don’t need a huge TV screen, I only ever watch it for a couple of hours at most anyway, and never during takeoff or landing. For those who haven’t dined together on an aircraft I absolutely recommend trying it while you can, it’s a novelty that not many airlines offer and really is something special, particularly when (as I always have) you get crews who go all out to make it a fantastic experience.
