Anecdotal, but it seems like every single time I take a connecting flight, something goes wrong. I haven't misconnected for a few months (thankfully!), but even doubling the connection time (I rarely book a connection under 2 hours now if possible), I'm finding myself sprinting through the airport. I'm glancing over my flights for the year, and I often changed from booked connecting itins to nonstops... but fully 40% of my connecting itineraries involved either a misconnect or a close call, very few of which are due to WX. It's been MX, ground ops, and occasionally flow control (so sort of WX, I guess). I have actually been lucky I didn't misconnect on the majority of those.

What's funny is that stats seems to show that delays and cancelations are actually better than they were a year ago.
