The important part is not if you achieved Platinum, but whether or not you have at least 50 nights. Platinum through a credit card or status challenge are not inherently eligible for the Annual Choice Benefit.
If you did achieve 50 nights and it has been two weeks, you'll need to call Bonvoy.
If you are saying that you have to put head on pillow 50 or 75 nights in order to choose an annual Plat or Titanium award, that is not true. I just picked my Titanium 40k-er and without 15 cc nights I wouldn’t have passed that threshold. I’m positive that I received my Platinum selection email before I had 50 actual nights. For good or for bad, nights accumulated via credit cards appear to be treated no differently than actual stays it terms of tiers.
