Booked FHR rate of $211 (had to burn my $200 credit so this worked nicely) which was their current 25% off promo but also very low nonrefundable rate I booked same day. As such, really can't complain about the value proposition. They give 3400 THB for the Amex credit plus 1000 THB Hilton Diamond credit (and I was alone but since I booked for 2 persons they noticed but had no problem giving me the full 1000) plus 1000 points plus 40X points under current Hilton promo since BKK is one of the triple points cities (assuming it posts as a qualifying stay, which it should). That got me a nice 3 course lunch, dinner and drinks with some credit left over. Also, the Front Room has a whole "plant based" menu which I really enjoyed as a vegetarian. Breakfast was very nice but have to agree with other posts that it was not mindblowing by any means, by Asian five-star standards. Asian section was decent but small selection and food not hot enough for me. Pastries didn't look appealing or special at all. For those who say it's the best breakfast ever, I say you have to get out more often.

Booked standard king and got parkview, which as others have noted is really a construction site view. Crane was right outside my window but noise was not bad. The room is spacious, well appointed and comfortable and traveling solo I did not miss having a suite at all since there is a nice living area within the room. Plate of oranges in the room when I arrived (let's be honest nobody eats the fruit on the fruit plates) but a couple of little plates of delicious chocolates and pastries arrived later. I liked the neighborhood and would stay again (for my $11 rate :-)) but not sure it commands the $300-$400 normal cash rates.
