Completed my stay here - it was actually better than I was expecting after reading this thread.

Diamond benefits - full buffet breakfast, free parking, 10% off in the bar/lounge area, and in my case an upgrade in advance from the lowest category room to a "deluxe" room. While this probably is not much of a real upgrade, it then allowed me to do a paid upgrade for 10 pounds per night to a full king suite, which was pretty nice. (I was on a rather low rate to begin with.)

The evening pub/lounge area serves food into the late evening. Pretty full menu of standard pub offerings, pizza, a few sandwiches, salads, etc. We had dinner there one night and drinks a couple nights - it was always somewhat busy but not so much that you couldn't get a table. Diamonds receive 10% off food/drink although in retrospect I didn't doublecheck to see how accurate it was. They actually have 24/7 room service with a smaller menu but I did not use it.

Room and common areas seemed clean and well-maintained. There's also a gym and some meeting rooms. No pool.

Definitely has the vibe of an American suburban hotel...if you want English charm you probably need to go into Northampton somewhere. But it gets the job done...I'd stay here again if I needed to be in this area.
