I am not all that big on Delta but SkyTeam fits me perfectly.
Most of my flights are TLV-MXP-FLL with stops in MXP in both directions to see my UIG (Used Italian Girlfriend). To do this, I have to fly AZ to Milan.
When I don't fly that way, I fly TLV-FRA-FLL-MXP-TLV. Delta allows me to take El Al to FRA, get SkyMiles, and then continue the rest of the way on SkyTeam flights.
Until last year, I had a BAG (Beautiful American Girlfriend) in SAV. I would then fly TLV-CDG (it was safer than going through Milan!)-ATL-SAV. I would then get on a flight to FLL and fly back through MXP.
This required a combination of Air France, Delta, and Alitalia flights.
