I have a very similar scenario next July, but will have checked luggage and both legs are on the same ticket. Does anyone know if BA will label my luggage through to my final destination on AS and if so, is there a convenient location post-customs at SFO international terminal where I can deposit my luggage again? Or will I have to get it over to terminal 2 and check in there myself? (I realize, this being the US, that I have to pick up my luggage from the carousel at SFO and clear customs.)

For bonus points, what’s the average wait time in immigration at SFO for non-US citizens that time of day (i.e, 14:15 when the BA285 arrives)?
