I agree. There are areas DL can cut, but these should not be two of them. Both cuts will negatively impact customer service. Cutting food will lead to poor morale and service and cutting the number of filght attendants in BE could also lead to poor/mediocre service. I am very disappointed in DL's planning process. Instead DL should be telling (and showing) customers that it is offering a superior product at (the now) lower prices

It would be interesting to get some information concerning plane turnover, revenue per seat, maintenance costs, and overhead for non-flight acctivities such as maintenance of websites necessary to the airline but not directly involved in flight operations.

I suspect Delta needs to get leaner in these areas rather the cutting FA's.
