Fingers Crossed

Hope the MGM properties come back primarily because they tended to be the cheapest (and most accessible) FHR/THC properties total - especially when rates were below $200 a night, since even without the Platinum credit the benefits would balance out. As it stands the cheapest properties now cycle between the Mirage thru THC or the Wynn or Four Seasons if it’s a random Tuesday and you feel like going to the spa.

I suspect this would also be why they wouldn’t come back - the combo of existing FHR benefits and also all Plat cardholders being given Marriott Gold Elite benefits might be unpalatable from an MGM perspective. (Anecdotal, but when I went to Bellagio in September they didn’t upgrade me at all despite the FHR benefits - and this was on a Tuesday in September, disconnected from any holiday weekend)

Silver lining would be that - if MGM gives their properties the Cosmo treatment as far as Bonvoy - Plat folks could at least get some sort of late checkout and theoretical upgrade. But obvi those perks pale in comparison to the credits.
