Unfortunately both PEK and PVG are atrocious for air-rail connections. An AC flight to SHA or PKX probably will not happen.
For PEK, there are airport busses to all 3 (6 if you count the newer ones) major train stations, and a taxi ride should be no more than ¥200. Airport express + subway may be faster but impractical if you carry large amount of luggages during rush hours. I have also done airport express + taxi/bus to skip some traffic.

PKX is directly connected to a HSR station and subway.

For PVG it's one subway ride to the HSR station. PVG is the first stop so you don't need to worry much about luggage space. There is a bus too and taxi shouldn't be too expensive.

AC will not fly to SHA because SHA only allows domestic and regional flights. Though SHA T2 is literally connected to the HSR station.

Also most Chinese airports have busses to nearby cities and counties, so if your final destination does not have flight connection to the nearby larger airport, good chance that there will be busses. My final destination is 1.5 hour away from PEK by HSR, but I often fly to PVG or CAN and take a connecting flight instead to avoid the air-rail connection.
