I've been trying to make this change since yesterday, and it continues to show as available in new searches online and in the app. I messaged and Global Ticketing Support told me to cancel and rebook online, but the same price is not available for new bookings.
If there's some time between now and the flight I would just try a lot on both phone and website until it works, but on the other hand in my insurance where it eventually worked the change and new booking prices were not different
