It's usually L2 for longhaul aircraft apart from A380s, but it could be L1 from some gates in LHR for A350s, there is also the risk of a remote stand. But to be honest the difference in time in getting off within CW is just a few seconds (compared to the hours you will be on board) and unless you know all the tricks/treats of the LHR arrival stream I'm quite sure someone in WTP could get to the UK Border faster than everyone in CW. In any case you may well all end up on the same transit or bus. So personally I wouldn't let it enter into the decision model.
