I am for example surprised about the long queue at visa for arrival as now people from China, Taiwan, India etc., who had to apply for visa on arrival are now also under the visa exemption scheme and can go directly do normal immigration

They are from the YouTube video I linked to which was uploaded to YouTube 3 months ago, so no, they are not from when I went through on 6th December. There is a caption right at the beginning saying it was August 2023
No it was not under renovation on 6th December. There was quite a lot of people grouped together that were not Chinese, Indian etc. (western looking) not sure what that was about, didn't look like they were about to go through the Fast Track though.
