A: misquote in the email, the rooms are not a suite : KING BED SUITE CLUB ACCESS GARDEN VIEW : is actually wrong
1) who ever the new GM is, he is a fast worker to appease the owner with implementing new monetizing upgrade efforts
2) although i love Indonesia, its folks and foods, i admire their talent for caculus even more for their use of IDR, so many 0s and numbers
3) this offer arrived seperate for 4 of the booked rooms in (all same catagories) but not for the 5 award rooms
4) my own room did not get such upgrade offer, i expect the RA upgrade mechanism prevents that
5) you might think i could merge people together from rooms into the villa but
- it is a family reunion that is unfortunately my treat, let my brother or sister spoil them at next reunion cycle of 5 years at the Hilton (brother) or Accor (sister)
- it is a family reunion, the reason we are still close is that we see each other once a year, 2 weeks sharing a villa, it will end in drama...
- it'll be an adminstrative hassle, who gets the KING or TWIN room in the villa
- especially musn't spoil my kids too much ....
6) after the imperial villa got a drastic make over to rebrand as "classic" villa, sweeping its authentic spooky Balinese interior away, it doesn't do much for me anymore
* so i am skipping this upgrade, so you know, the villas are still free for next week if anyone want ....
