I was at BKK earlier this week, waiting for my J class flight to SYD on QF.

I could have visited the QR lounge (I've been there several times), but decided to stay in the EK lounge, which I find to be superior. It has a good buffet spread and two types of self-pour champagne (Moet and Mumm). The pretentious QR service, where there is no help-yourself of anything worthwhile does not impress me.

Just my particular take. Many won't agree, but there you go.
