So if you hold a resident card in a GCC country, but unfortunately hold a weak passport, such as myself, there are several countries I can travel to (apart from the other GCC countries) such as Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, etc, where I can get a visa on arrival. Whereas if I was not a resident in the UAE, I would normally need to apply for a visa before hand for those countries.
There is some conflicting information online with regards to this policy for Tunisa and GCC residents (see below iVisa link), however the embassy has now clarified that I do infact need a pre-arranged visa, as they have removed this policy.
