Hi, I'm new to flyertalk, so forgive me if this is answered somewhere else. I must be having problems with the Search function.

My wife and I have companion fare codes that expire in March 2024, which, obviously, is when we'll get new ones. We have two larger trips coming up that we would like to use our companion fare codes for. The first is a trip in March 2024 to NYC. The second trip is to Costa Rica in June 2024. My question is if we use the companion fare codes for the NYC trip, is it likely that there will still be tickets (there are 5 of us) available for the Costa Rica trip if we wait for our new companion fare codes to hit our accounts. We like to select our seats and sit together. Thanks.
