How does AA look at spend? Is it based on $ for actual flights taken or based on $ for tickets booked? For example, I've booked lots of flights premium flights which I've cancelled for a variety of reasons (and have sitting as flight/trip credits). So my true spend/money given to AA is higher than my loyalty points balance reflects. Is there any chance AA incorporates this into looking at granting CK? My actual spend for CK (when looking at loyalty points) is competitive, but I'd be in a much better spot for CK if they incorporate actual money spent through flight purchases, which should technically be a more accurate view of importance of a customer to AA.
