You are 100% correct, unfortunately for our travel dates the mileage spread is huge. Using $0.01 mile valuation, I actually save a couple bucks paying BA the outrageous fees vs using many, many more miles for AA metal and the correspondingly lower fees.
Slightly off topic, but how does BA business compare to AA business? Close enough to not be a consideration or dramatically different?
