I received the offer for $599 to get 35K status this morning as well. I'm currently at 50K status but only have 20,000 qualifying miles this year.

I've had 50K status for quite a number of years (even had 75K one year) but between the pandemic and a change of jobs that doesn't require as much travel, I knew that 2023 was going to be the year that my status was in jeopardy.

I do have a TD Infinite Privilege VISA card. The card seems to give me pretty much the same privileges as 35K status so I'm not sure it's worth it since I already pay $599 annually for the credit card.

Is there any chance I could call Air Canada and ask about what it would cost to maintain 50K or is that a non-starter? Is it even worth it to pay the $599 to at least maintain 35K status given my Infinite Privilege card? I do expect my travel to increase somewhat in 2024.

Anyway, would certainly appreciate the flyertalk community's advice on this one.
