The system is not intuitive. There is a help section which appears to cover the basics and which I'll have to go through when I have a chance. I recommend that you do the same.
I thought I had a smooth conversion on my account, but then I booked some new tickets after the conversion, they were shown on the booked tickets as associated for "Business Travel", and then nothing posted to the business account at all after the travel. I contacted the support team for the new program and was told that it wasn't flagged as a business ticket (even though I could see that on the booking) and so it didn't get credited. They said I should just add it using the "Add Tickets" functionality, which they also noted doesn't yet exist but they hope it will sometime soon. So I haven't yet gotten a new ticket to apply under the new program, though I did have a seamless conversion and have been able to distribute miles out to individual user accounts (which happened almost immediately). So I'm not having a lot of comfort with this either, but at least I'm going to make an effort here. (I'm going to abandon the new AA program entirely - just too much work for what is offered in the new program.)
