I also think BKK is a no no. It's well served by other One World carriers, never seemed to make BA any money and I get the strong impression that BA would rather put a spare frame on a second US city rotation than re-start BKK (or ICN for that matter).
This at the moment is true for much of SE Asia from what I have been told. The routes are extra long with often delays as there is only 1 air corridor south of Ukraine that all of BA, AF, KL, LH, LX etc have to use even for flights to India etc and the extra fuel, longer flight times etc just make much of this region uneconomical for BA when you can do a round trip to a US city in the same time.......
I really doubt that any time soon ICN, KIX (Osaka), KUL etc are coming back (some talk about KUL for 2024 but nothing really concrete).
South America I think more likely to get expansion first at the moment. Can make more money. I know pre pandemic SCL was doing very well - wonder if that is due expansion (though it is very airframe heavy as it is 15 hours each way).
