If you had been able to wait until after 28th Feb 2024 (which obviously you couldn't) to make the gift, then status would have lasted until 28th Feb 2026.
But it's academic in your case.
As BA say, the gifted Gold status will expire 28th Feb 2025.
I think because your partner is already Gold it is normal for the new extension to not reflect until after the end of their current year.
