what are the first 6 #s of both ODOM and Staples cards? and what is the bank servicer (not issuer) for each? probably blackhawk
Ok, Wow... Yeah... Ok. Sorry. I didn't think about those who weren't following my post. Guess I assumed those who hadn't read it would click the link. My bad. I mentioned in the original posts that all the cards are serviced by BHN. Even then, I felt like I was going out of my way to be extra detailed, since, all ODOM and Staples cards are serviced by BHN. I mean, from what I gather talking to my Staples and ODOM CSRs and from reading here in the forums, BHN has the contract for both stores and sends people in to the stores to manage the racks. I've never heard of there being any InComm in either store.
Regarding the bank, all Staples and ODOM cards are Pathward, ever since Metabank changed it's name to Pathward at least. I actually have 3 that say Metabank on them, they're the older ones with the 6.95 fee and less secure packaging (My Staples doesn't move cards as fast) but the rest are all the 7.95 Pathward cards, and that's pretty much all that's left on the shelves.
Regarding the first 6 digits? Every MCGC I've ever seen at a Staples or ODOM is a 5113 32 and every VGC is a 4358 80. I just assumed that makes sense, since these first 6 numbers are referred to as the BIN, and BIN stands for Bank Identification Number and Pathward (aka Metabank) is the bank that has exclusive rights over both Staples and ODOM.
Now, based on this post, I'm second guessing all these assumptions. Can anyone here give us any data points regarding any cards they've bought at Staples or ODOM that don't follow this pattern please?
- Master Card = Pathward (Metabank) serviced by BHN with BIN 5113 32
- Visa = Pathward (Metabank) serviced by BHN with BIN 4358 80
If anyone has any DPs to contradict my assumptions here, it would be super useful!
