Haha, when I went through JFK as mentioned a page or two back, I stopped by the enrollment kiosks outside the line to complete my upgrade. When I used the CLEAR+Pre line I was then instantly (well, 30+ minutes later) randomed for an ID check
and I know the upgrade "took" because I received the same email.
(Yes, I realize "fewer" doesn't mean "zero", it's just amusing
)
