Michelin Guide Tokyo 2024 has one new three-star restaurant,
Harutaka. Owner-chef of Harutaka, Harutaka Takahashi, started to work at Sukiyabashi Jiro at the age of 21, and at the age of 33 he opened the sushi restaurant Harutaka.
Also notable that Yoshitake, who was previously the only 3 star sushi, is downgraded to 2 stars. Meanwhile Sugita, Sawada and Amamoto all lost their stars. Presumably due to difficulty in booking, but further providing the absurdity of Michelin rankings in Japan.
