737MAX - worst tray tables in UA fleet?

Every 737MAX I've experienced in the front cabin in recent months has the worst tray table mechanism, it seems, in the entire UA fleet. Maybe there is a design issue? At least in the front cabin, they do not smoothly slide into or out of the armrest. I've learned the trick to do it, but every time I'm on a MAX I see people struggle with them.

This is certainly not a high level safety related item, like a DC-10 cargo door in the 70s or a Dreamliner battery when they were new.... but with the planes being so new, and seemingly having such uniformly difficult tray tables up front, I wonder if it is some sort of warranty issue for UA to take up with Boeing or the seat manufacturer?

This is not a complaint, I'm blessed to work from a laptop and eat food at 30,000 ft in a comfortable seat and all things are taken in perspective. I'm just really curious what the business action is when there is such an obvious large scale (but non-safety related) problem on new equipment.
