I've been to several hotels that have had the AutoConnect SSID show up on my devices, but I could only "successfully connect" at one of the properties. I say "successfully" because while I was connected, the connection would continuously drop and reconnect every 2-3 minutes. Also, the speed was much slower than just connecting to the standard IHGConnect SSID. So I've since disabled the autoconnect feature in the app. Not worth the frustration.
