Is there any way I will be able to get AAdvantage credit for that flight? I suspect it's unlikely but just curious if anyone had an experience in the past.
Unlikely. From AA.com: "You can earn AAdvantageŽ miles when you fly on Japan Airlines marketed and operated flights and Japan Airlines codeshare flights operated by Japan Airlines affiliate airlines J-Air or Japan Transocean Air, or other oneworldŽ carriers.". In this case, the flights are JL-operated but not JL-marketed.
